Posted by Bubblewrap on Sep 17, '07 5:43 AM for everyone I have been seeing albums from other stores featuring bogus buyers / reservers for quite some time now, and I have always wondered what they were about and who these people were. Being new to this online business, I would wonder what it would take to make a seller so upset to have to post someone's photo and let people know that the person is a bogus buyer / reserver. Well, right now I am half-driven to do the same because I myself am experiencing this kind of business concerns at the moment. I am preventing myself to go to that length right now as it hasn't been that big of an issue yet. Luckily, I am still able to dispose of the reserved item, although it had to go through several texts and follow-ups for me to decide to give it up to the next person. But I really don't understand these people! Why on earth will they text me, PM me, call me if needed back and forth to ask about the item, the price, and if i could reserve it for them -- then totally not respond thereafter? They would even send in their order forms to signify a reservation, then totally not reply after that! I guess I am not jaded in this area yet, and I am still quite patient with these kind of dealings. So pardon the reaction of a neophyte online seller. I consider all my buyers as good, trustworthy and really nice people -- a lot of whom eventually became cyber friends. Sadly, such is not the case with the buyers. They treat us like we are unprofessionals dying to make a sale. It's a pity because I actually liked talking with some of these people. Then again, it was never the basis of anything to come. Oh well, just my insights after a month of being open online. I hope I don't have to experience the pains of what the other sellers had in the past, which I know cost a lot of money! It just opened my eyes to a broader perspective of what online trading is all about and how we too, just like the buyers, have to be careful in all our business dealings. Welcome to the world of online selling, so they say! :D
